Jeff Willis is a versatile information technology professional who currently serves as Information
Technology Manager and Instructor for Western Kentucky University’s CIS Department. At
WKU he wears multiple hats as a manager, technician, and educator with an exceptional
knowledge of information technology systems, business practices, and training methodologies.
Prior experience includes service in the United States Navy, a variety of positions in local, state,
and federal government, and extensive small business ownership and consulting service in the
private sector. Industry certifications include A+, Security+, Redhat Certified Technician, and
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Jeff is currently the owner of Bluegrass Consulting Group
which provides IT services specializing in WAN/LAN, wireless, security, remote access and
application hosting.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University and
studied a second major in Computer Information Systems at Western Kentucky University. He
also holds a Master of Science in Network Security from Capitol College. Jeff maintains an active
research and consulting schedule with an emphasis on practical, applied solutions for small
business systems.
